“Tilbage til Haven - Voices & Traces” er blevet titlen på musikvandringen, som snart kan opleves på Sneptrup Præstegårdssti.
Vi synes, at Haven er en smuk metafor for vores ‘indre landskab’, eller ‘indre liv’ om man vil. Forfatteren Thomas Moore skriver:
“Lad mig definere en have som mødet mellem rå natur og den menneskelige imagination, hvor begge søger opfyldelsen af hinandens skønhed. (…) Haven er et meningsfyldt sted for sjælen, hvor sjælens bevågenhed for skønhed, fordybelse, stilhed og opmærksomhed har fuld forrang over hverdagens travlhed og bekymringer.”*
Præstegårdsstien - med indgangen mellem de to store engle - er for os som at træde ind i naturen og samtidig træde ind i en mytisk Edens Have. Og derpå begynder en vandring gennem fortid, nutid og fremtid, hvor vi møder naturens skønhed og os selv - på godt og ondt. Det er selvfølgelig op til den enkelte at tolke, som man vil.
"Back to The Garden - Voices & Traces" has been chosen as the title of the music-walk we are creating, and which will soon be able to be experienced on Sneptrup Præstegårdssti. We feel that “The Garden” is a beautiful metaphor for our 'inner landscape', or 'inner life,' if you like.
Author Thomas Moore writes: "Let me define a garden as the meeting between raw nature and the human imagination, where both seek the fulfillment of each other's beauty. (...) The garden is a proper place of the soul, where concerns of the soul for beauty, contemplation, quiet and observance take complete precedence over the busier concerns of daily life."*
The Præstegård path’s entrance - between two large angel figures - is a passage into this lovely nature area and at the same time a passage into a mythical Garden of Eden. And thus begins a walking journey through past, present and future, a reflection upon both nature and aspects of ourselves - for better or for worse. It is, of course, up to each individual to experience the path in their own way.
Præstegårdsstien har en længere historie bag sig som et fælles projekt med mange gode lokale og nationale kræfter i ryggen. Og det er ærligt talt en ære, at vi to tilflyttere får lov at komponere musik særligt tilegnet dette landskab.
Opfordringen til en musikvandring kom først og fremmest fra Ovsted-Tåning-Hylke kirkers menighedsråd, som ejer stien, og som sagtens kan se muligheder i at bringe musik, natur og mennesker tættere sammen. Især Birgit Secher og Viggo Rasmussen har bakket projektet op og hjulpet med at søge fondsmidler.
Præstegårdsstien has a long history as a joint project with many good local and national forces behind it. It is honestly an honor that we two newcomers to the area are being allowed to compose music specially dedicated to this landscape.
The call for a music-walk came primarily from the parish council of Ovsted-Tåning-Hylke, which owns the trail, and which quickly saw the opportunity of bringing music, nature and people closer together through such a project. Birgit Secher and Viggo Rasmussen in particular have supported the project and have helped in applying for funding.
Det har resulteret i et stort tilskud fra Skanderborg provstis forkyndelsespulje, som gør det muligt at realisere projektet.
Vi er taknemmelige for al denne hjælp, og glæder os meget til at præsentere “Tilbage til Haven - Voices & Traces” til sommer. Ja, vi kan godt røbe at premieredatoen bliver den 15. juni!
